Stuff

This page is dedicated to other useful free things that can be downloaded, such as games, applications or films. Since this is not the scope of the blog, and since I did not want to create a new blog for each section, I decided to devote a page here.

Books

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

A classic by Lewis Carroll, actually named Charles Dodgson, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a book that must be read, and not compared to the Disney film. It contains scores of references to mathematics and logic (obviously, since Lewis Carroll was a mathematician).

This book was originally first publicated in 1865 and may be downloaded as a .pdf file from here.

Games

Command & Conquer

strategy

The game that started the Command & Conquer series was released as freeware in 2007 by EA Games. The notice may be seen here, while the game may be downloaded as .iso files from here. It is fully compatible with Windows XP, but if you have problems, there are several help files available.

This game was originally released back in 1995 and was released as freeware to mark the franchise’s 12th anniversary.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert

strategy

That’s right. The classic game Command & Conquer: Red Alert has been released as freeware in 2008 and may be downloaded from EA’s site as .iso files from here. EA explain everything very clearly, including any patches that might be needed if you’re running Windows XP or higher.

This game was originally released in 1996 and was released in order to promote Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.
