Despite the strange name, the French artist Butterfly Tea, or Olivier Renouard, has a discography of 7 albums full of gripping music that sounds like they came straight from a soundtrack of some sort. The music is orchestral and symphonic; alas however, the tracks are rather too short, most of them averaging around a minute or so in length.
Out of 7 albums, 5 of them focus on different themes. Magical and Fantasy Musics provides, as the title itself states, music that seems very fitting for a fantasy film. Ethnic Flavor provides an insight to different ethnicities, some of them not necessarily human. Adventure Action is full of gripping tunes that would fit in well with an action film. Drama - Emotion is an apt title itself to the describe the music, as it contains emotional music fitting for any emotional scenes or climaxes in films. Electro Synthe is Butterfly Tea’s take on electronic music, providing an album which is a weird combination of electronic music and orchestral effects that actually works very well.
The other 2 albums are compilations or reworks of Butterfly Tea’s other albums. Medley Best Of is composed of 5 tracks, each of them a long medley of his music according to a particular style. The HEAVENz BUTTERFLIEz is an album where most of his older tracks are reworked. In my opinion, this is his best album, not only because some of the tracks are slightly longer, but also because there is a definite improvement in the sound.
